How much are your most common dental procedures?
In Australia dentists are free to set their own fees for the procedures they offer. This means that there is a small range of prices for the same procedure but generally most dentists charge roughly the same price. Specialist dentists generally charge a little more for certain procedures.
Our fees for common procedures:
New patient examination – $299 or no gap with a dental health fund. This includes:
- Comprehensive oral examination (011)
- Routine digital dental x-rays (022 and 037)
- Intraoral photographs (072)
- Scale and polish (114)
- Topical remineralisation (121)
- Discussion and treatment planning if needed

Consultation only (014) – $150 – This includes a limited oral exam, photos and a discussion with your dentist
Tooth coloured composite restorations (521 and 531) – Starting from $350 depending on size and location in the mouth
All ceramic crowns (613) – $2495 – This includes all x-rays, pulp vitality testing and composite core build up if necessary
Ceramic veneers (556) – $1950 per tooth – Our veneers are handmade by a master ceramicist here in Mosman
Composite veneers (526) – $650 per tooth – Expertly crafted chairside using premium quality dental composites
Root canal therapy (415 and 417) – $450 per canal for chemo mechanical preparation and $450 for obturation (filling) of each canal. Additional canals are charged at a reduced fee.
Cone beam CT scan (026) – $250 per image – This includes a thorough discussion of your case with your dentist
Dental implants (688 and 671) – starting from $6750. This includes the surgical placement of the implant and the prosthetic restoration with a zirconia crown. Additional fees will be incurred if an extraction and bone grafting is required. We offer a complimentary consultation including a CBCT scan worth $250 with your dentist to discuss your individual case
Orthodontics (881) – starting from $8500 for a full course of treatment. This can either be with fixed braces or Invisalign depending on your individual needs and preferences. We offer a complimentary consultation with your dentist where we can show you a simulated outcome of the potential end result using digital scans.
Tooth extraction (311 and 324) – starting from $350 for a simple extraction up to $750 for a complex surgical extraction requiring bone removal and tooth sectioning.
Periodontal therapy (deep cleaning including root surface debridement) (250) – $450 per quadrant of the mouth
Take home tooth whitening (119 and 926) – $600. This includes custom made upper and lower trays that are yours to keep and 4 syringes of prescription strength whitening gel
X-rays (dental radiographs) (022 and 037) – bite wings $60 each, OPG $180. This includes a thorough discussion of the image with your dentist
