Emergency Dentistry
Toothache. Pain. Swellings. Bleeding. Trauma. Broken teeth or restorations. These are all things that shouldn’t be ignored because they may turn into something more serious if left unchecked.
Emergency dentistry’s purpose is to diagnose and treat these small dental problems before they escalate into other more severe issues that can cost you more money and time and are potentially more serious in terms of your general health and quality of life.
Accidents are an inevitable part of daily life. When you find yourself in a situation where you have an injured tooth or damaged a part of the mouth and are unsure of the extent of the damage, be sure to seek the opinion of an emergency dentist.
Emergency Dentistry
Most people make dental visits for regular check-ups and scheduled appointments for treatments and procedures however there may be times when you or a family member need to make unplanned visits to a dental professional.
Dental emergencies can be simple or potentially quite severe and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Not every dentist can offer emergency dentistry services. Emergency dentistry services are provided by trained professionals who address dental problems that occur unannounced.

What is Considered a Dental Emergency?
As mentioned earlier, not all injuries are considered a dental emergency. If the problem can wait till a scheduled dental appointment without causing severe effects, there is no need to visit an emergency dentist. However if you are experiencing pain, swelling or severe discomfort it is advised that you seek an appointment as soon as possible.
Ask these questions if you are unsure whether to visit an emergency dental surgery:
- Is there bleeding from the mouth?
- Are you experiencing severe pain?
- Are any of your teeth loose?
- Is there serious trauma in the face or mouth?
- Are there swellings in the facial area or the mouth?
- Are there bulges or abscesses on the gums?
If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, you might have a dental emergency and we advise you call us immediately. For most dental emergencies, time is of the essence.
We have dedicated slots available every day the practice is open for dental emergency appointments.
