What is Considered a Dental Emergency?

As mentioned earlier, not all injuries are considered a dental emergency. If the problem can wait till a scheduled dental appointment without causing severe effects, there is no need to visit an emergency dentist. However if you are experiencing pain, swelling or severe discomfort it is advised that you seek an appointment as soon as possible.

Ask these questions if you are unsure whether to visit an emergency dental surgery:

Is there bleeding from the mouth?
Are you experiencing severe pain?
Are any of your teeth loose?
Is there serious trauma in the face or mouth?
Are there swellings in the facial area or the mouth?
Are there bulges or abscesses on the gums?
